New Cantilever Gate & Automation System Donation for Headley Court
When Online Barriers were requested to attend Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court - Surrey, to repair an automatic sliding gate, it was an opportunity to help directly those who had been seriously injured during military service. While Online Barriers’ gate engineer initially repaired the pedestrian electric gate, it soon became apparently the existing powered gate was slow, not reliable and not protected correctly with safety edges or safety photocells.
Online Barriers spoke directly with the Defence support services to offer a new bespoke automation system designed to meet the needs of injured service personnel, including wheel chair users. Word soon spread about our involvement, and suppliers offered to help with the new cantilever gate.
In order to achieve an ultra quiet, fast, smooth and safe gate system, a low voltage Centurion operator, and a cantilever rail, were specified. ASO safety buffers were fitted to ensue the gate achieved force testing results within British Standards and European Norms.
Online Barriers completed the gate installation within one day, and handed the system over, including a full safety brief and safe user’s guide to a very happy and pleased Unit Guard Commander.
Ours thanks go to:

- Berkshire Gates - http://www.berkshiregates.com/ for supplying Cantilever rail
